Nahum 1- The LORD Is…
What Do You Conspire Against the LORD? | Calvary Life Brooklyn
Before Nahum says one word about Nineveh, he tells you who God is. That order is the whole message — and the answer to the question this series is named for.

“The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.” — Nahum 1:7 (NKJV)
This is Nineveh, part two. A century after Jonah preached and the whole city repented, the next generations forgot — and went right back to being the empire that terrorized everyone around it. Nahum doesn’t open with Assyria’s walls or the Babylonians on the road. He opens with the LORD: jealous, avenging, slow to anger, great in power. Then, right after fire and melting mountains, he says the sentence to carry home: the LORD is good. Pastor Richie walks verse by verse through chapter one — the God we accuse of being all wrath, then accuse of doing nothing about evil; why patience is not permission; the one question Nahum turns on every heart; and what it means that He knows those who trust in Him.
